The internationally recognized Royal Academy of Dance program is known for its standardized and quality dance education. Exams and assessments to motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities by focusing on creativity and musicality, providing opportunities to progress and achieve. Graded and Vocational Graded exams lead to recognized achievement at a high level in dance.

Syllabus
Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Graded and Vocational levels are internationally recognized ballet syllabus classes with a focus on ballet vocabulary suitable for the development of the child. The examinations offer achievement goals for the students.
Grade 1 to Grade 8 incorporates ballet, free movement/ interpretive ballet, and character; suitable for candidates from 7 to 18 years in the class setting and available to adults at Raincity Dance privately. Successful candidates receive a certificate for the level, a results form, and a medal.

Royal Academy of Dance Discovering Repertoire 3 Syllabus. Syllabus including barre, centre, development exercises and a classical repertoire piece. Flat shoes or en pointe. Each level is divided into 3 optional exams.
Vocational Graded Syllabus
Vacational levels Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 incorporates ballet, contemporary ballet, and pointe work, and is suitable for candidates 11 years and over. The Vocational levels aim to develop the technique, music and performance skills of the older ballet student to an advanced level, preparing them for a dance or dance-related career.
These higher levels are accepted as a measure of achievement by the vocational schools attended by most young people aiming to enter the dance profession. Successful candidates receive a certificate for the level, and a results form. Completion of these levels can be used towards high school credits throughout Canada. They are also highly valued by universities and other institutions offering degree courses and programmes in the performing arts.

Advanced 2 Ballet:
15+ years
Advanced 2 Syllabus. Ballet and pointe work in preparation for examination. This level is expected to require over 1 year of preparation. Students may not all be ready to take the exam at the same time, the teacher will advise if modifications need to be made. No recital choreography.
